In section 9(1) of the M1Energy Act 1976 (liquefaction of offshore natural gas), for the words from " with consent" to " such consent" there shall be substituted the words "authorised by an authorisation under section 7 or 8 of the Gas Act 1986 and in compliance with any conditions of that authorisation, or providing a supply for which such an authorisation".

In section 12(2) of that Act (disposal of gas by flaring), for the words " the British Gas Corporation " there shall be substituted the words "a public gas supplier within the meaning of Part I of the Gas Act 1986".
