220 Meaning of “unregistered company”. E+W+S

(1) For the purposes of this Part, the expression “unregistered company” includes F1 . . ., any association and any company, with the following exceptions—

F2 (a) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

(b) a company registered in any part of the United Kingdom under the Joint Stock Companies Acts or under the legislation (past or present) relating to companies in Great Britain.

(2) On such day as the Treasury appoints by order under section 4(3) of the M1 Trustee Savings Banks Act 1985, the words in subsection (1) from “any trustee” to “banks” cease to have effect and are hereby repealed.
