Building Societies Act 1986, Cross Heading: The prescribed amount is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 09 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
36(1)For the purposes of this Part of this Schedule, the “prescribed amount” is £100 or such other amount as the [F1Treasury by order specify] for the time being.U.K.
(2)The power to make an order under sub-paragraph (1) above shall be exercisable by statutory instrument subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
(3)An order under sub-paragraph (1) above may contain transitional, consequential or supplementary provision.
