(1)An application for listing shall be made to the competent authority in such manner as the listing rules may require.
(2)No application for the listing of any securities shall be made except by or with the consent of the issuer of the securities.
(3)No application for listing shall be made in respect of securities to be issued by a private company or by an old public company within the meaning of section 1 of the M1Companies Consolidation (Consequential Provisions) Act 1985 or the corresponding Northern Ireland provision.
