The amendments made by this Schedule apply only in relation to leases granted after the commencement of this Schedule.

This Schedule does not affect the operation of section 140 of the Housing Act 1980, the enactments applying that section and regulations made under it, in relation to leases granted before the commencement of this Schedule.
