In section 8(1) (powers of local authorities to sell houses), for the words "Notwithstanding anything contained in any" there shall be substituted the words " Subject to section 74(2) of the M1Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 (restriction on disposal of land) but notwithstanding anything contained in any other ".
