SCHEDULE 6 U.K. Minor and Consequential Amendments

The Credit Unions Act 1979 U.K.

7 (1) In section 8 of the M1 Credit Unions Act 1979 for subsections (2) and (3) there shall be substituted—

“(2) In this section and section 9 below “deposit” has the meaning given in section 5 of the Banking Act 1987.”

(2) In the definition of “authorised bank” in section 31(1) of that Act for paragraph (a) there shall be substituted—

“(a)

an institution authorised under the Banking Act 1987 or a municipal bank within the meaning of that Act;”

and the words from “and so long” to “that Schedule” shall be omitted.
