In section 42 of the National Assistance Act 1948 (liability to maintain spouse and children), for subsection (2) there shall be substituted the following subsection—

“(2)

Any reference in subsection (1) of this section to a person’s children shall be construed in accordance with section 1 of the Family LawReform Act 1987.”
