Section 62 of that Act (duties of Secretary of State and local education authorities as to the training of teachers) shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (1), for the words from “service in" to the end there shall be substituted the words “service in schools maintained by local education authorities, grant-maintained schools and institutions which are maintained by such authorities and provide higher education or further education (or both)".

Subsection (2) shall be omitted.
