SCHEDULE 1 Offences to which sections 1, 6, 11 and 12(1) apply

Where section 1, 6, 11 or 12(1) of this Act is shown in column 3 of this Schedule against a provision of the M1Road Traffic Act 1988 specified in column 1, the section in question applies to an offence under that provision.

Section 1 also applies to—
a
an offence under section 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 consisting in the contravention of a restriction on the speed of vehicles imposed under section 14 of that Act,
b
an offence under subsection (4) of section 17 of that Act consisting in the contravention of a restriction on the speed of vehicles imposed under that section, and
c
an offence under section 88(7) or 89(1) of that Act (speeding offences).

an offence under paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989, and
c
any offence against any other enactment relating to the use of vehicles on roads.
