3(1)The Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 shall be amended as follows.
(2)In section 11 for the words “section 12(1)(b) of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984” there shall be substituted the words “section 14(1)(b) of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989”.
(3)For section 21(1)(b) there shall be substituted—
“(b)solicits or invites support for a proscribed organisation other than support with money or other property;”.
(4)For paragraph 16 of Schedule 4 there shall be substituted—
16Offences under the following provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989—
(a)section 8 (breach of exclusion order);
(b)sections 9, 10 and 11 (financial assistance for terrorism);
(c)section 17 and Schedule 7 (terrorist investigations);
(d)section 18 (information about acts of terrorism);
(e)section 21(5) (obstruction etc. of searches).”
