There are currently no known outstanding effects for the Companies Act 1989, Section 200.
(1)In the Financial Services Act 1986, for section 188 (jurisdiction as respects actions concerning designated agency, &c.), substitute—
(1)Proceedings arising out of any act or omission (or proposed act or omission) of—
(a)a recognised self-regulating organisation,
(b)a designated agency,
(c)a transferee body, or
(d)the competent authority,
in the discharge or purported discharge of any of its functions under this Act may be brought in the High Court or the Court of Session.
(2)The jurisdiction conferred by subsection (1) is in addition to any other jurisdiction exercisable by those courts.”.
(2)In Schedule 5 to the M1Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments Act 1982 (proceedings excluded from general provisions as to allocation of jurisdiction within the United Kingdom), for paragraph 10 substitute—
“ Financial Services Act 198610Proceedings such as are mentioned in section 188 of the Financial Services Act 1986.”.
