3 In paragraph (b) of section 9(4) of the M8 Interception of Communications Act 1985 the words “or 2” shall be omitted and after that paragraph there shall be inserted—

“(bb) an offence under section 4 of the Official Secrets Act 1989 relating to any such information, document or article as is mentioned in subsection (3)(a) of that section;”.

4 Any provision in a public service pension scheme (within the meaning of the [F7 Pension Schemes Act 1993] or the [F8 Pension Schemes (Northern Ireland) Act 1993] which has effect in relation to conviction of an offence under the Official Secrets Acts 1911 to 1939 shall be construed as if the reference to such an offence included a reference to an offence under this Act.
