158 Arbitration.S
(1)Any matter which under this Part is to be settled by arbitration shall be referred for determination by a single arbiter appointed by agreement between the parties concerned or, in default of agreement, by the sheriff.
(2)In any arbitration in accordance with subsection (1) the arbiter may, and if so directed by the Court of Session shall, state a case for the decision of the Court on any question of law arising in the arbitration; and the decision of the Court shall be final unless the Court or the [F1Supreme Court] give leave to appeal to the [F1Supreme Court] against the decision.
(3)Leave under subsection (2) may be given on such terms as to expenses or otherwise as the Court or the [F1Supreme Court] may determine.
