4 Grants to verderers of the New Forest.

The Forestry Commissioners may, with the approval of the Treasury, make to the verderers of the New Forest such grants as the Commissioners think fit in respect of expenditure incurred or to be incurred by the verderers for the purposes of, or in connection with, the discharge of their functions under the New Forest Acts 1877 to 1970.

Grants under this section shall be made on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Commissioners and shall be F1defrayed in accordance with section 41 of the Forestry Act 1967.

Sums received by the verderers by virtue of this section shall be carried to the account of the general fund established by the M1New Forest Act 1877 and applied accordingly.
