14In section 6(1)(a) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981 (certificates of fitness etc), for the words “a certifying officer” there shall be substituted the words “an examiner appointed under section 66A of the Road Traffic Act 1988”.
15In section 10(2) of that Act (approval of type vehicle), for the words “the certifying officer” there shall be substituted the words “an examiner appointed under section 66A of the Road Traffic Act 1988”.
16(1)Section 51 of that Act (appeals to Secretary of State) shall be amended as follows.
(2)In subsection (1) for the words “a certifying officer” there shall be substituted the words “an examiner”.
(3)In subsection (4) for the words “the certifying officer” in each place where they occur there shall be substituted the words “the examiner”.
