Offence of giving false informationE+W+S

9(1)A person who, in response to a notice to owner served under this Schedule, makes any representation under paragraph 2 or 5(2) above which is false in a material particular and does so recklessly or knowing it to be false in that particular is guilty of an offence.E+W+S

(2)Any person guilty of such an offence shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.]
