SCHEDULE 1 Consequential Amendments

The Gas Act 1965 (c. 36)

In section 15 of the Gas Act 1965—

a

in subsection (1), for the words “section 26 of the Water Resources Act 1963” there shall be substituted the words “ Chapter II of Part II of the Water Resources Act 1991 or within the meaning of that Chapter so far as it applies in relation to any application for a licence which is a licence of right for the purposes of Schedule 7 to the Water Resources Act 1991) ”; and

b

in subsection (5)(b), for the words “section 129 of the Water Act 1989” there shall be substituted the words “ section 123 of the Water Resources Act 1991 ”.

In section 23(5) of that Act of 1965, for the words “the Water Resources Act 1963” there shall be substituted the words “ Chapter II of Part II of the Water Resources Act 1991 ”.

In Part II of Schedule 4 to that Act of 1965—

a

in paragraph 4, for the words “section 26 of the Water Resources Act 1963” there shall be substituted the words “ Chapter II of Part II of the Water Resources Act 1991 or within the meaning of that Chapter so far as it applies in relation to any application for a licence which is a licence of right for the purposes of Schedule 7 to the Water Resources Act 1991) ”; and

b

in paragraph 5(4)(b), for the words “section 129 of the Water Act 1989” there shall be substituted the words “ section 123 of the Water Resources Act 1991 ”.
