PART I U.K. FRIENDLY SOCIETIES CARRYING ON BUSINESS ETC, IN OTHER MEMBER STATES

Requirement to notify cessation of business etc. U.K.

8 A friendly society to which section 37(2) or (3) above applies which has ceased–

(a) to carry on insurance business through an overseas branch in [F2 an EEA State] other than the United Kingdom; or

(b) to provide insurance in such [F2 an EEA State],

shall as soon as practicable notify the Commission in writing that it has done so.
