Travelling expenses

C1180Payment of travelling expenses by the Secretary of State

The Secretary of State may pay such travelling expenses as, with the consent of the Treasury, he may determine—

a

to persons required by him to attend any interview in connection with the operation of the Contributions and Benefits ActF1, the Jobseekers Act 1995F2, the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) Act 1997F3, Chapter II of Part I of the Social Security Act 1998F4, the State Pension Credit Act 2002F6, Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007F7, Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012F9, Part 4 of that Act or this Act;

b

to persons attending local offices in connection with the operation—

i

of the Contributions and Benefits ActF1, the Jobseekers Act 1995F2, the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) Act 1997F3, Chapter II of Part I of the Social Security Act 1998,F5, the State Pension Credit Act 2002F6, Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007F8, Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012F10, Part 4 of that Act or this Act; or

of any prescribed enactment.
