156 Payment of travelling expenses by Department.N.I.

The Department may pay such travelling expenses as, with the consent of the Department of Finance and Personnel, the Department may determine—

(a)to persons required by the Department to attend any interview in connection with the operation of the Contributions and Benefits Act [F1, the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995][F2, the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) (Northern Ireland) Order 1997]or this Act;

(b)to persons attending social security offices of the Department in connection with the operation—

(i)of the Contributions and Benefits Act [, the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995][F2, the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) (Northern Ireland) Order 1997]or this Act; or

(ii)of any prescribed statutory provision.
