In section 47 of the National Assistance Act 1948 (removal to suitable premises of persons in need of care and attention), in subsection (12), after “City of London” insert “ , in Wales the councils of counties and county boroughs ”.

In section 64(1) of that Act (interpretation), in the definition of “local authority” at the end add “ but in relation to Wales means the council of a county or county borough ”.
