58(1)Section 103 of that Act (functions of the Land Authority for Wales), is amended as follows.
(2)In subsection (2)(c), for “county and district councils in whose area the land is situated” substitute “—
(i)the council of any county or county borough in which the land, or any part of the land, is situated, and
(ii)the joint planning board (if any) for the area in which the land, or any part of the land, is situated,”.
(3)For subsection (6), substitute—
“(6)The council of a county or county borough in Wales which makes an assessment of land in its area which is, in its opinion, available and suitable for development may be assisted by the Authority in making that assessment.
(6A)A joint planning board in Wales which makes an assessment of land in its district which is, in its opinion, available and suitable for development may be assisted by the Authority in making that assessment.”
(4)In subsection (7), for “or (6)” substitute “ (6) or (6A) ”.
(5)In subsection (8), for “or district council” substitute “ council, county borough council or joint planning board ” and after “the council” insert “ or board ”.
