32A Grants for expenditure on safeguarding national security.

The Secretary of State may make grants in respect of expenditure incurred (or to be incurred) by a police authority or joint police committee in connection with safeguarding national security.

Grants under this section may be made either unconditionally or subject to conditions.

The Secretary of State shall exercise his powers under this section only with the approval of the Treasury.
