General

169 Power of Secretary of State to make payments or grants in relation to crime prevention, etc.

(1)

The Secretary of State may, with the consent of the Treasury—

(a)

make such payments, or

(b)

pay such grants, to such persons,

as he considers appropriate in connection with measures intended to prevent crime or reduce the fear of crime.

(2)

Any grant under subsection (1)(b) above may be made subject to such conditions as the Secretary of State may, with the agreement of the Treasury, see fit to impose.

(3)

Payments under this section shall be made out of money provided by Parliament.
