39 Probation orders requiring treatment for mental condition.
(1)
In each of sections 184 and 385 of the 1975 Act (probation orders requiring treatment for mental condition)—
(a)
in subsection (1), after the word “practitioner”, in the second place where it occurs, there shall be inserted “
or chartered psychologist
”
; and
(b)
in each of subsections (2)(c), (5) and (5B)(b), after the word “practitioner” there shall be inserted “
or chartered psychologist
”
.
(2)
In section 462(1) of that Act (interpretation), at the appropriate place, there shall be inserted the following definition—
““chartered psychologist” means a person for the time being listed in the British Psychological Society’s Register of Chartered Psychologists;”.
