The County Courts Act 1984 shall be amended as follows.

In section 27—
a
in subsection (3)(a), for “section 1 of the Merchant Shipping (Salvage and Pollution) Act 1994” substitute “section 224 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995”; and
b
in subsection (5), for “Merchant Shipping Acts 1894 to 1983” substitute “Merchant Shipping Act 1995”.

In section 30(1)(c), for the words after “ships” substitute “with safety regulations under section 85 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995”.

In section 31—
a
in subsection (1), in the definition of “master”, for “Merchant Shipping Act 1894” substitute “Merchant Shipping Act 1995”;
b
in subsection (2)(b), for “552 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894” substitute “ 226 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995”.
