52A Remit of certain mentally disordered persons from district court to sheriff court S

Where—

(a) a person has been charged in a [F2 JP court] with an offence punishable by imprisonment; and

(b) it appears to the court that the person has a mental disorder,

the [F2 JP court] shall remit the person to the sheriff in the manner provided by section 7(9) and (10) of this Act.]
