SCHEDULE 2 Police authorities established under section 3
Appointment of independent members

The members of a police authority referred to in paragraph 1(1)(b) or (2)(b) shall be appointed—
a
by the members of the police authority appointed under paragraph 2 or 8,
b
from among persons on a short-list prepared by the Secretary of State in accordance with Schedule 3.
