36 Delayed payment of mandatory grant.

Where the local housing authority are obliged to approve an application for a grant under section 24(1)(a) (mandatory disabled facilities grant), they may do so on terms that payment of the grant, or part of it, will not be made before a date specified in the notification of their decision on the application.

That date shall not be more than twelve months, or such other period as may be specified by order of the Secretary of State, after the date of the application.
