In sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 10 (meaning of “qualifying subsidiary”), for “each of sub-paragraphs (2) and” there shall be substituted “ sub-paragraph ”.

Sub-paragraph (2) of that paragraph (requirements as to purposes for which subsidiaries exist) shall be omitted.

In each of sub-paragraphs (4) and (5) of that paragraph (which contain references to companies falling within sub-paragraphs (2) and (3)), for “sub-paragraphs (2) and” there shall be substituted “ sub-paragraph ”.

In sub-paragraph (4)(a) of that paragraph, for “those sub-paragraphs” there shall be substituted “ that sub-paragraph ”.
