8 Restriction of leviable income.

Section 21 of the 1975 Act shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (3A), for paragraph (a) there shall be substituted—
a
the insurance through an establishment in the United Kingdom, under general policies, of risks situated in an EEA State, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man,

In subsection (3B)—
a
paragraph (a), and the word “and” at the end of that paragraph, shall be omitted, and
b
in paragraph (b), the words “other than the United Kingdom” shall be omitted.

In subsection (4A), for paragraph (a) there shall be substituted—
a
the insurance through an establishment in the United Kingdom, under long term policies effected after 31st December 1974, of commitments situated in an EEA State, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man,

In subsection (4B)—
a
paragraph (a), and the word “and” at the end of that paragraph, shall be omitted, and
b
in paragraph (b), the words “other than the United Kingdom” shall be omitted.
