Studies and related functions E+W

[F1 37 Assistance to [F2 other bodies and persons] E+W

(1) The Audit Commission may provide assistance to the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection or the Commission for Social Care Inspection in the discharge of any of their functions under Chapter 3 or 5 of Part 2 of the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003.

[F3 (1A) The Audit Commission may provide assistance to—

(a) Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons,

(b) Her Majesty's Inspectors of Constabulary,

(c) Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service,

(d) Her Majesty's Inspectorate of the National Probation Service for England and Wales, and

(e) Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Court Administration,

in the discharge of any of their functions.]

(2) [F4 Assistance under subsection (1) or (1A) may be provided on such terms, including terms as to payment, as the Audit Commission and the body or person in question may agree.]]

[F5 (3) The Audit Commission may provide assistance to Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills in the discharge of any of his functions under Chapter 4 of Part 8 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006.

(4) Assistance under subsection (3) may be provided on such terms, including terms as to payment, as the Audit Commission and the Chief Inspector may agree.]
