2E+WA school which immediately before the appointed day is (within the meaning of the M1Education Act 1996)—
(a)a grant-maintained school, or
(b)a grant-maintained special school,
shall become on that day a school of the category to which it is to be allocated in accordance with the following paragraphs of this Schedule.
