Obligations of governing bodies

(1)

The governing body of a foundation, voluntary controlled or foundation special school are (in accordance with section 22(4)) not responsible for any of the expenses of maintaining the school.

(2)

Sub-paragraph (1) does not apply to the repayment of the principal of, or interest on, a loan made to the governing body.
