The Education Reform Act 1988 shall be amended as follows.

In section 218 (school and further and higher education regulations), for subsection (12) substitute—

In section 221(1)(b) (avoidance of certain contractual terms), for “an aided or grant-maintained school;” substitute “
a foundation, voluntary aided or foundation special school;
