22(1)This paragraph applies to proposals for a school in Wales to cease to be an establishment which admits pupils of one sex only.E+W

(2)Sub-paragraph (3) applies where—

(a)such proposals are made under section 28 and, in accordance with subsection (7) of that section, the relevant body send a copy of the published proposals to the [F5Assembly]; or

(b)such proposals are made under section 31 and, in accordance with subsection (6) of that section, the relevant body send a copy of the published proposals to the [F5Assembly].

(3)The sending of the published proposals to the [F5Assembly] shall be treated as an application by the responsible body for the making by the [F5Assembly] of a transitional exemption order, and [F6the Assembly] may make such an order accordingly.
