This paragraph applies to proposals for a school in Wales to cease to be an establishment which admits pupils of one sex only.

Where such proposals are made under paragraph 5 of this Schedule, the responsible body shall be treated as having made an application to the Secretary of State for the making of a transitional exemption order, and the Secretary of State may make such an order accordingly.
