Government of Wales Act 1998, Cross Heading: Functions relating to industry is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 07 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
5(1)Section 9 (provision of sites and premises for industry) is amended as follows.U.K.
(2)In subsection (1) (exercise of powers for purpose of providing or managing industrial sites and premises and providing related facilities to be in accordance with arrangements approved by Secretary of State)—
(a)for “industrial sites and premises” substitute “ sites and premises for businesses ”, and
(b)after “related facilities” insert “ , or making land available for development, ”.
(3)In subsection (3) (power of Secretary of State to authorise Agency to provide premises for industrial undertaking free of rent), for “an industrial undertaking” substitute “ a business ”.
6U.K.In section 10 (power of Secretary of State to authorise Agency to provide services etc. for development of industry), for “industry” substitute “ businesses ”.
