20Short title, commencement and extent

(1)This Act may be cited as the Tax Credits Act 1999.
(2)This Act, except—
(a)this section;
(b)section 6;
(c)subsections (2) and (4) to (9) of section 14 (and subsection (1) of that section, except so far as relating to subsection (3)); and
(d)subsection (1) of section 19,
shall come into force on 5th October 1999.
(3)This Act extends to Northern Ireland.
