Transport for London may do anything it thinks fit for the purpose of advancing—
a
the skill of persons employed by Transport for London or by any subsidiary of Transport for London;
b
the efficiency of the equipment of Transport for London or of any subsidiary of Transport for London or of the manner in which that equipment is operated;
including providing, or assisting others in providing, facilities for training, education and research.

Transport for London may provide houses, hostels and other similar accommodation for persons employed by Transport for London or by any subsidiary of Transport for London.
