The M1London Cab Act 1968 shall be amended as follows.

In section 1(1) (which extends the power of the Secretary of State to set fares under the Acts of 1869 and 1907) for “the Secretary of State” there shall be substituted “
Transport for London
”
.

After subsection (1) of section 1 there shall be inserted—

The power conferred by subsection (1) of this section is subject to paragraph (4) of the restrictions specified in section 9 of the said Act of 1869.

In section 2 (power to increase length of obligatory journeys)—

in subsection (1) (the power)—

for “The Secretary of State” there shall be substituted “
