16F1(1) A licensing scheme may include provision for or in connection with—E+W+S
(a)the making of an application for a licence;
(b)the grant of a licence (which must be for the licensed units applied for);
(c)the issue of a licence;
(d)the variation or revocation of a licence.
[F2(2)A person who intentionally provides false or misleading information in or in connection with an application for a licence is guilty of an offence and liable—
(a)on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum; or
(b)on conviction on indictment, to a fine.]
