57U.K.In Schedule 2 to the M1Local Government Act 1988 (which specifies the public authorities to which section 17 of that Act applies) after the entry relating to police authorities established under section 3 of the M2Police Act 1996 there shall be inserted—
“The Metropolitan Police Authority.”
