The M1Local Government (Records) Act 1962 shall be amended as follows.

In section 2 (acquisition and deposit of records) in subsection (6) (local authorities to which the section applies) after “section 3 of the M2Police Act 1996,” there shall be inserted “ the Metropolitan Police Authority, ”.

In section 8 (interpretation) in the definition of “local authority” after “section 3 of the M3Police Act 1996,” there shall be inserted “ the Metropolitan Police Authority, ”.
