SCHEDULE 2The Gas and Electricity Consumer Council
Membership of Council

The Council shall consist of a chairman and such other members as may be appointed by the Secretary of State.

The Secretary of State shall consult the chairman before appointing any other member.

An appointment under this paragraph shall be for a term not exceeding five years.

In appointing persons under this paragraph the Secretary of State shall have regard to the desirability of including among the members one or more persons who—
a
have experience of work among, and the special needs of, disabled persons; or
b
have or have had a disability.
