425 Expressions relating to authorisation elsewhere in the single market.U.K.

(1)In this Act—

[F1(a)“banking consolidation directive”, [F2 “life assurance consolidation directive”] “EEA authorisation”, “EEA firm”, “EEA right”, “EEA State”, F3. . . , “first non-life insurance directive”, “insurance directives”, [F4“reinsurance directive”,] [F5 “insurance mediation directive”,] “insurance mediation directive”, F6. . . [F7“markets in financial instruments directive”, ]single market directives[F8 “, tied agent”] and “UCITS directive” have the meaning given in Schedule 3; and]

(b)home state regulator”, in relation to an EEA firm, has the meaning given in Schedule 3.

(2)In this Act—

(a)home state authorisation” has the meaning given in Schedule 4;

(a)Treaty firm” has the meaning given in Schedule 4; and

(c)home state regulator”, in relation to a Treaty firm, has the meaning given in Schedule 4.
