Special public interest cases

65 Investigations and reports on references under section 62

The F2CMA shall prepare a report on a reference under section 62 and give it to the Secretary of State within the period permitted by virtue of this section.

The report shall, in particular, contain—

a

the decisions of the F2CMA on the questions which it is required to answer by virtue of section 63;

b

its reasons for its decisions; and

c

such information as the F2CMA considers appropriate for facilitating a proper understanding of those questions and of its reasons for its decisions.

F12A

Where the report relates to a reference under section 62 which has been made after a report of OFCOM under section 61A, the F2CMA shall give a copy of its report (whether or not published) to OFCOM.

Sections 51 and 52 (but not section 53) shall apply for the purposes of a report under this section as they apply for the purposes of a report under section 50.

The F3CMA shall carry out such investigations as it considers appropriate for the purpose of producing a report under this section.
