[F11[F2(1)]This Schedule[F3, apart from Part 3B,] applies if a person aged 18 or over (“P”) is liable to pay a sum which is or is treated for the purposes of Part 3 of the 1980 Act as a sum adjudged to be paid by a conviction of a magistrates' court.E+W+N.I.
[F4(2)Part 3B applies in a case where Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (collection of fines etc.) applies.]
[F5(2)A sum payable under a notice of conviction and penalty (within the meaning of section 16L of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980) is not to be regarded as a sum within sub-paragraph (1); but this Schedule applies in relation to such sums as provided in paragraphs 10A, 21(2), 25(2), 29(2) and 37(1A).
