Section 169: Evidence of identity: England and Wales

491.This section amends the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE). The PACE provisions that cover the identity issues outlined in sections 166 to 168 above will no longer apply to a person arrested under an "extradition arrest power" (as defined below in section 174) since in future the provisions in the Act will apply. This relates to England and Wales only.
